United States Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said on Thursday that an Indian delegation will be heading to Washington later this month as part of talks on a trade deal between India and the US.
India plans to sign an FTA with New Zealand in late April, enabling skilled visas for Indian workers, 20 billion dollars of NZ investment, and boosting already rising bilateral trade.
India and the UK are looking to implement their FTA and the Double Contribution Convention in the next 30 to 45 days while India and Oman are aiming to operationalise their Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement by May 2026.

Scores of farmers from four states gathered at Kurukshetra’s Pipli grain market on Monday to protest against the India-US trade deal.
